Engaging Thought Leaders to Advance Programs, Practice, and Policy on Emerging Issues.
The Thought Leader Round Table model is designed to foster in-depth opportunities for discussion between Chronic Disease Directors and national leaders and partners about emerging issues and to identify best practices and opportunities for action and response.
The goals of the Thought Leader Round Table model are:
Articulate the impact of emerging issues on state-level chronic disease prevention and health promotion practice, programs, and policy.
Identify best practices for chronic disease prevention and health promotion programs, practice, and policy on emerging issues.
Prioritize recommendations for action and response on emerging issues by Chronic Disease Directors, national leaders and partners, and NACDD.
Thought leaders are convened through virtual and in-person meetings to:
Learn from subject matter experts.
Engage with peers and discuss in small groups.
Build partnerships with thought leaders.
Identify and prioritize recommendations to address emerging issues.
