Some initiatives include

STAR

STate Activation and Response (STAR) is a rapid cycle organizational development model for improving effectiveness and efficiency in State Health Department chronic disease prevention and health promotion practices. STAR is based on a quality improvement approach and includes coaching and peer learning opportunities. Learn more.

Partner Engagement Learning Labs

Partner Engagement Learning Labs are a series of interactive sessions connecting subject matter experts, state peers, and invited partners to learn about, use, and adapt NACDD’s Virtual State Engagement Model tools and resources by designing and implementing a state-specific partner engagement approach and sharing lessons learned with other participating states. Data Modernization

NACDD embraced public health’s focus on data modernization and deepened its expertise to advance the knowledge, skills, and capacities of the chronic disease workforce. The Multi-State EHR-Based Network for Disease Surveillance (MENDS) project uses electronic health record data to generate chronic disease risk and prevalence estimates. Learn more.

Action Labs

Action Labs are a series of virtual meetings activating peer groups through a modified Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and Results (SOAR) analysis. The Action Lab supports participants in defining three-to-five actions they can take within their organization during a 21-day action period to advance collective efforts toward a shared goal.
