Professional Development Through the Diabetes Council

Work with an assembly of change-makers who turn ideas into action. The NACDD Diabetes Council Workgroups provide professional development and mentoring workgroups to all Members so they can excel in their roles. With support from NACDD and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Diabetes Council Workgroups develop webinars, workshops, scholarship opportunities, and more to support the capacity of State diabetes programs and Members’ professional goals.

If you’re a current Diabetes Council member who would like to join a Professional Development or Mentoring workgroup, email nacdd.diabetes@chronicdisease.org today.

“My mentor has done a great job creating open-ended discussions about relevant topics and barriers we may be facing. Together, we have problem-solved, shared resources, and kept one another in the loop of any trainings and opportunities that could help us succeed in our work.”
