How MENDS Works
Outlines high-level steps of MENDS, beginning with the extraction of electronic health record data captured during health care encounters, progressing through data preparation through ESP software, and ending with data products that leverage data visualization and analysis for public health practice. The visual also depicts various potential use cases for MENDS data to improve the health of the population.

MENDS Key Components
Six implementation areas of MENDS including governance, partnerships, technical infrastructure and support, chronic disease algorithms and validation, weighting and modeling, and workforce education for public health data users.

Governance Document
Prepared by the Public Health Informatics Institute to describe governance policies and procedures for the MENDS project. This updated document was approved by the MENDS Governance Committee on July 18, 2023.
