Research to Practice
In partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), seven Prevention Research Centers share key insights and practices that helped them successfully bring research to practice.
The CDC Prevention Research and Translation Branch defines “translation” as the process and steps needed or taken to ensure effective and widespread use of science-based programs, practices, and policies.
Each of the below snapshots highlights insights on bringing research to practice through collaboration from seven CDC Prevention Research Centers (PRC). Principal Investigators and their teams from the PRCs share key insights and practices that helped them achieve success. Key insights and practices are organized into four categories across the research translation continuum. The four categories are:
Harvard Prevention Research Center on Nutrition and Physical Activity
National Center for Deaf Health Research, University of Rochester Medical School
New York University/City University New York Prevention Research Center
University of Arizona Prevention Research Center
University of California San Francisco Prevention Research Center
