Join NACDD and other public health professionals for stimulating discussions surrounding relevant articles and podcasts. Every third Thursday at 3:00-3:30 p.m. ET, the GEAR UP Journal Club delves into the world of current research and evidence-based best practices, uncovering valuable insights and innovative approaches that can shape the work of chronic disease prevention and management.
Each month, we select an article or podcast that tackles a variety of public health topics, ranging from chronic diseases to mental health and everything in between. In this low-pressure setting, we encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and the sharing of personal experiences and best practices. By exploring the latest research, we can expand our knowledge and contribute to the collective effort to improve chronic disease outcomes.
GEAR UP Journal Club calls start with an overview of the reading or listening, followed by discussions to explore experiences. Participants are always encouraged to join the calls even if they haven’t had a chance to review the article or podcast.
