YEAR TWO

Project Description

The Peer-to-Peer Learning project strategies involve leadership and workforce development, data and information systems, and partnerships. Year Two activities are designed as a follow-up to the in-person Peer-to-Peer training held in Atlanta, GA in June 2019 for the grantees of the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) and the Colorectal Cancer Control Program (CRCCP). The Peer-to-Peer training included expert speakers, trainers, and opportunities for programs to share and teach about their successful partnerships and Evidence-Based Interventions (EBI) use with health systems. For more information about the training, see Year 1 tab. The Year 2 Peer-to-Peer activities are based, in part, on the evaluation of the June 2019 training, and input from a planning committee of state, tribal, and Pacific Island Jurisdiction (PIJ) grantees. All year two activities are web-based only and grantees participate virtually in live webinars and video conferences through the Zoom platform.

Activities

Five webinars on key topics to the screening programs are the focus of year two. Grantees also are offered three series of five facilitated peer-to-peer video conferences with topics based on the needs indicated by the evaluation of the June 2019 training – implementing evidence-based interventions with health systems partners; sustainability; and evaluation issues. Strategic Health Concepts is a subcontractor and facilitates the Peer-to-Peer conference calls.

The program provides links to recordings of webinars and video conferences as well as slide decks and resources used throughout the year. Links and materials are added to this website as they become available.
