Nominate your colleagues by August 24!
The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) proudly announces the nomination period for the 2023 Impact Awards is now open. NACDD’s annual Impact Awards recognize exceptional public health practitioners, State, Tribal, and Territorial Health Departments, and partners. Awardees are nominated and selected by peers to acknowledge exceptional achievements and progress in their field of public health.
“NACDD Members work tirelessly in their jurisdictions each day to ensure a healthier future for all, and it is important to recognize and celebrate their efforts and successes,” said NACDD CEO John W. Robitscher, MPH. “These awards are not just an act of appreciation, but an acknowledgement of the unwavering dedication to safeguard our communities. By honoring their commitment and innovation, we inspire a brighter future for public health.”
Award categories include Lifetime Achievement, Health Equity Champion, Community Impact, Mentor Award, Rising Star, and more. Nominations are due by Thursday, August 24, 2023, by 11:59 p.m. ET. Application forms are available online.
Awardees must be an NACDD Member and may nominate themselves or be nominated by a peer or colleague. More information on NACDD Membership is available at chronicdisease.org/page/ForMembers
NACDD oversees the administrative responsibilities of the awards process, but the awards are decided by a committee of NACDD Members. Recipients will be announced and honored this fall during NACDD’s Annual Business Meeting.
“The passion and dedication shown by NACDD members across our states and territories is truly inspiring! The Impact Awards provide a platform to commend and honor each other’s invaluable and impactful work in the field of public health,” said this year’s Impact Awards Committee Chair Leslie McKnight, PhD.
