Reminder: Request for Applications for GIS Training for State Health Departments due Dec.14
NACDD, in partnership with CDC and the Childrenā€™s Environmental Health Initiative at Rice University, has released the Request for Applications (RFA) for the 2019 Geographic Information Systems (GIS) State Training for the Surveillance of Heart Disease, Stroke, and Other Chronic Diseases. This GIS training is for staff working with State Health Department chronic disease prevention and health promotion programs. A Chronic Disease Director component, new for 2019, will assist State Health Department chronic disease prevention leaders to build and sustain GIS capacity and support staff development of GIS-related Chronic Disease Competencies.
