Webinar: Using Virtual Human Technology to Build Skills that Drive Behavior Change in Chronic Disease Patients
Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 2pm-3pm ET/ 1pm-2pm CT
Driving meaningful and sustainable changes in the behaviors of individuals at-risk for or suffering from chronic disease remains a key challenge for the U.S. healthcare system. While a growing number of technology-based strategies such as mobile alerts, EMR tracking, and social media campaigns have shown great promise, those on the front lines of the chronic disease battle know that behavior change largely hinges on the ability of practitioners and patients to engage in a collaborative conversation that promotes trust and motivation to change health behavior.
Recent advances in simulation technology and virtual human research present an opportunity to build digital experiences where these communication and motivational interviewing skills can be taught and practiced in a scalable, engaging and effective way.
We would like to invite you to a FREE webinar sponsored by the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) where you will learn about:
The benefits of using virtual humans in developing the skills, motivation, and knowledge to manage challenging conversations with patients about treatment, risk factors, adherence, and medication.
ChangeTalkā¢, a free CME-approved mobile app designed in collaboration with the American Academy of Pediatrics to train pediatricians how to build motivation of parents and their children to change behaviors relating to risk factors of childhood obesity.
Initial ideas from NACDD leadership about how virtual humans can assist in resolving challenges faced by their members.
Research results from using virtual human technology with providers and family members.
