This Disability Pride Month, NACDD is proud to launch a new tobacco control and cancer prevention campaign featuring real-life stories of people with disabilities who have successfully quit using commercial tobacco.
Inspired by the CDC’s Tips From Former Smokers campaign, the Tips Adjacent Campaign highlights the personal journeys of five campaign ambassadors: Heidi, Chris, Tonya, Terra, and Brad.
Disability Pride Month celebrates disability identity, community, and inclusion while recognizing the importance of equitable access to health information, resources, and support.
This CDC-funded campaign was designed in partnership with Lumina Corps and the NACDD Disability Network to connect individuals with the accessible information and support they need to make informed decisions about quitting tobacco, if and when they choose.
Get Involved: Customizable social media graphics and posters are available for each ambassador’s story. Explore the campaign resources and share them with your community today!
