NACDD Announces Nancy Sutton as New Board Secretary

Atlanta (May 20, 2024) – The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) is pleased to announce its Board of Directors has unanimously elected Nancy Sutton, MS, RD, as new Board Secretary for the 2023-24 term.

Sutton will fill the vacancy left by Board Member Linda Scarpetta, who retired from her role in May. The term will end in September 2024. The Board elections for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 will begin this summer, and the new term will begin on Oct. 1, 2024.

“Nancy brings a wealth of experience and expertise in chronic disease management, and we look forward to her continued contributions to the Association,” said Board President Bala Simon. “We appreciate her stepping up to fill this role for the Board.”

Sutton has served on NACDD’s Board of Directors since 2022. She is Chief for the Center for Chronic Care & Disease Management at the Rhode Island Department of Health, whose mission is to improve health outcomes among the people of Rhode Island as it pertains to cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and dementia, with a focus on equity.
