Funds Available to Attend Alzheimer’s Association Workshop in July

Impact Brief – June 2022

The Alzheimer’s Association is a CDC-funded Public Health Center of Excellence for Dementia Risk Reduction and is inviting NACDD members to join them at the BOLD Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction’s Social Determinants of Health workshop at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® 2022 (AAIC®), July 29 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in San Diego, California.

The meeting will bring together dementia researchers and fellow public health academics and practitioners to explore how social determinants of health relate to dementia risk, review scientific evidence, and discuss ways that public health can act.

The Association has funds available to cover all travel expenses for a limited number of NACDD Members, so please register now and indicate you are interested in a travel scholarship. Once the Alzheimer’s Association receives your registration information, they will reach out with more details. Register for the workshop today.

You are also encouraged to consider attending AAIC, July 31-Aug 4, in San Diego or online. Learn more and register

Please share this invitation with colleagues interested in strengthening public health’s role in addressing health risks and outcomes. Email Chelsea Kline at crkline@alz.org if you have any questions. We hope to see you in San Diego!

Sponsored by the Public Health Center of Excellence on Dementia Risk Reduction at the Alzheimer’s Association, which is funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
