The National Arthritis Prevention Program Expert Advisory Panel and Design Team will be led by the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other key partners who will provide guidance in the development of an evidence-informed healthcare provider approach to conduct function, pain, and physical activity screenings; patient counseling on the benefits of physical activity; and referrals to arthritis appropriate evidence-based interventions (AAEBI) and other non-pharmacological interventions (see ACR 2019 guidelines for details). Participation on the Expert Advisory Panel and Design Team is by invitation only. The teams will be comprised of national partners (Arthritis Foundation, Osteoarthritis Alliance, YMCA of the USA, National Recreation and Park Association), payers, revenue experts, health system providers and care team members from orthopedics, rheumatology, sports medicine, and primary care. Participants were identified based on real-world experience and innovation in the field of arthritis and lifestyle interventions.
