Jane Myers
RDN/CDCES
Jane has been a Public Health Consultant for NACDD’s Diabetes Portfolio since November 2018. Her work centers on scaling and sustaining the National Diabetes Prevention Program and increasing access to Diabetes Self-management Education and Support (DSMES).
Before joining NACDD, Jane worked in healthcare settings for more than 20 years as a clinical dietitian, diabetes educator, a coordinator of an ADCES-accredited Diabetes Self-management Education and Support (DSMES) program and a manager. During this time, she collaborated with community-based organizations to increase awareness and utilization of evidence-based practices to promote public health.
Jane also worked at the North Dakota Department of Health as the Diabetes Program Coordinator. During her tenure she collaborated with health systems, pharmacies, community-based organizations, and a land-grant university extension service to help scale and sustain the National Diabetes Prevention Program and promote the use of other evidence-based practices such as DSMES. She promoted and supported lifestyle coaches and diabetes educators through continuing education and networking opportunities.
Jane holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Certificate of Public Health, is a Licensed Registered Dietitian, and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
