Barbara Wallace, MD, MSPH

Dr. Barbara Wallace currently serves as the Director for Division of Chronic Disease Prevention for New York State Department of Health. She has held this position for more than 10 years. Barbara and her team implements evidence-based, evidenced-informed, and innovative public health strategies in order to support New Yorkers to live healthier lives and eliminate health disparities by reducing the incidence and burden of chronic diseases and conditions. Barbara received her undergraduate degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, and a Masters in Public Health from the University of Kentucky.
