Advancing Tribal Umbrella Hub Arrangements

NACDD continues strengthening and expanding tribal Umbrella Hub Arrangements (UHAs) through technical assistance, peer learning, and collaboration opportunities for both new and existing tribal UHAs.

Key activities include supporting two new tribal Area Health Boards (AHBs) interested in becoming UHAs through informational calls, presentations from existing tribal UHAs, and a community of practice focused on UHA roadmap development and sharing promising practices. NACDD continues supporting three existing tribal UHAs through a community practice providing tailored technical assistance and facilitating discussions on sustaining tribal National DPP lifestyle change programs, and reimbursement opportunities.

NACDD in collaboration with CDC and Maven Collective Consulting, a Native-led firm, hosted a tribal UHA Gathering in Portland, Oregon, on June 22–23, bringing together tribal AHBs, UHA leaders, and partners for peer learning, collaboration, and strategic planning to strengthen and sustain diabetes prevention efforts in Indian Country.
