Healthcare policy impacts state cancer Programs. NACDD makes it easy for you to stay informed. 

At NACDD, we partner with CDC and Leavitt Partners to continuously monitor and evaluate health policies. Our multidisciplinary team of dedicated staff, consultants, and contractors, gathers real-time information on proposed national and state policy changes, which significantly impact cancer prevention and control efforts.

Our Approach

We monitor information from our network of partners who report on and analyze health policies.
We gather information on proposed national and state legislation affecting cancer screening, follow-up, and treatment coverage.
We evaluate how new or revised health policies affect chronic disease prevention programs, especially cancer prevention.

What We Do with Our Findings

  • We develop and disseminate topical briefs to update Members on changing policies and their potential impact on programs.
  • We provide webinars, reports, and presentations highlighting policy impacts on cancer prevention and control. 
  • We engage Members in peer sharing of best practices for implementing state and federal policies.
  • We conduct Member surveys to profile the impact of policy on program capacity.
