The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors’ July 2022 Thought Leader Round Table on Mental Health convened 20 NACDD staff and consultants, Subject Matter Experts, Chronic Disease Directors, and national partners in Washington, D.C. to explore the role of State Chronic Disease Directors and others to address mental health issues impacting states working in chronic disease. Thought Leaders identified nine key priority recommendations to inform efforts by Chronic Disease Directors, national partners, and NACDD. As the need for action on mental health issues impacting states increases, it is essential to implement innovative approaches for collective action on mental health issues as chronic disease professionals.
