The Washington Walkability Action Institute (WA WAI) will take place the week of May 2nd in Olympia, WA. It is a multi-day course (action institute) targeted for interdisciplinary teams comprised of public health, planning, transportation, elected officials, and other representatives who will come together to learn from some of the nation’s top experts about how to make macro-level policy, system, and environmental (PSE) changes to improve walkability and community and transportation design. NACDD and CDC DNPAO are partnering with Chris Zipperer of the WA Department of Health, the WA Transportation Improvement Board, and the WA Department of Transportation.
