Service Member: Carly Douglas
Host Site: FoodShare South Carolina
Location: Bennettsville, South Carolina

During my service year with NACDD PHA program, I supported a non-profit organization called FoodShare South Carolina. The program’s service area was Bennettsville, South Carolina and Marlboro County. Throughout the year, I got hands-on experience in areas of food insecurity, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), customer service, community engagement, and partnerships.

ONE YEAR OF SERVICE CAN SPARK A LIFETIME OF PURPOSE.

In collaboration with Public Health AmeriCorps and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, NACDD is supporting the recruitment, training, and development of the next generation of public health leaders.
