Join us on the Leadership Team!
The CVH Network Leadership Team represents YOU to NACDD, CDC, and other partners. We do this by setting priorities and recommending the best methods for these partners to provide support and innovative learning opportunities to health departments regarding health systems and hypertension control strategies.
Our Chair-Elect, Chair, four At-Large member positions, and liaison positions for the NACDD Government Affairs Forum, Learning and Professional Development Committee, Health Equity Council, and GIS are open for nomination. We would like to make sure we have a strong, committed, and diverse team. This is a great opportunity to recognize and provide a national leadership opportunity to staff working on HDSP-related strategies for the 1815 and 1817 grants.
I have participated on the Leadership Team for three years, and in that time I have learned so much from colleagues in other states and from national partners working on hypertension control strategies. I have also been able to create valuable connections with NACDD and with CDC. Most positions require only one hour per month for meetings. I highly recommend that you nominate yourself or someone you know.
A detailed overview of the Leadership Team and positions are available here. To nominate someone, please provide their name, health department, and the position you are nominating them for in the nomination form by Friday, Nov. 16. MaryCatherine Jones will follow up with all nominees to affirm their interest in serving on the Leadership Team, answer questions about the group, and request a bio from each candidate. Please contact MaryCatherine or me, Tara Trujillo with any questions about the Leadership Team and available positions.
