The 4th Annual Public Health Showcase was a poster session hosted by NACDD on Jan. 8, 2020, in Atlanta, featuring more than 60 projects from our program portfolio and a fireside chat/live webcast with leading experts from multiple health industries.
The theme of the Showcase was âElevating Public Health to Social Health â Establishing Multisectoral Partnerships to Impact the Root Causes of Chronic Disease.â

The Public Health Showcase’s Fireside Chat, âElevating Public Health to Social Health â Establishing Multisectoral Partnerships to Impact the Root Causes of Chronic Disease,â featured a distinguished panel of guests. Leavitt Partners President Susan Winckler moderated the panel that discussed the social determinants of health as well as the root causes of chronic conditions. Panelists included Gov. Mike Leavitt, founder and general partner of Leavitt Partners; Dr. Karen Hacker, Director of CDCâs National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP); and Monica Morales, the Deputy Director for the Center for Healthy Communities at the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and President of NACDDâs Board of Directors. Nearly 300 attendees viewed the online webcast.
