Innovations In Cancer Screening Options

Innovations in breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screening options have significantly advanced early detection and prevention efforts. New screening technologies—such as high-sensitivity DNA-based stool tests for colorectal cancer, HPV testing for cervical cancer, and advanced imaging techniques for breast cancer—has improved the accuracy and accessibility of cancer detection. These scientific breakthroughs help healthcare providers identify cancers earlier, leading to better patient outcomes.

This NACDD Cancer P2P Learning Series featured a 60-minute webinar and multiple peer-discussion calls.

During the webinar, Dr. Keith Winfrey highlighted recent innovations and advancements in the early detection and prevention of breast, cervical, and colorectal cancers. He shared successful strategies for increasing screening rates and integrating innovative approaches within clinical and community settings. This presentation provided practical tools, implementation tips, and ways to enhance cancer program impact and screening initiatives.

Sharisse Carter from New York State Health Department and Tiffany Garland from Horizons, shared insights from their respective programs.
