We are excited to announce the release of both volumes of the supplement of the Journal of Public Health Management and Practice: Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Efforts through State and Local Health Departments Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Evaluation Findings and Implications for the Field.
This supplement was sponsored by the National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI) and funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (DHDSP). NACDD’s Miriam Patanian served as a guest editor and author. The special supplement seeks to advance work in cardiovascular health by highlighting the evaluation results and impact of three DHDSP-funded cooperative agreements (1815, 1817, and WISEWOMAN), representing local, state, tribal, and territorial health departments. The real-world evidence reported in the supplement in 13 U.S. states, two counties, and one city, intends to raise awareness about emerging and best practices that can be adopted to improve cardiovascular health.
