Lainey Faulkner, MHS, CPTA

Lainey Faulkner, MHS, CPTA, is the Director of the Bureau of Health Promotion at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE). In this role she also serves as the Public Health Medicaid Liaison and the State Chronic Disease Director.
Lainey is a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas where she earned her Associate of Science, Physical Therapist Assistant, Bachelor of Health Science, Health Services Administration, and Master of Health Science. She continues to serve as an adjunct instructor at Washburn University in the public health program.
In her role at KDHE, Lainey supports a variety of chronic disease and injury and violence prevention and management initiatives through collaborative leadership and strategic approaches. Strategies include policy, systems, and environmental change to encourage healthy behaviors and strengthen the core foundations of health such as food security, access to care, and the safe, stable, nurturing environments in which families thrive.
Lainey is passionate about communication, partnership-building, and supporting her teams in fulfilling KDHE’s mission of protecting and improving the health and environment of all Kansans.
