Addressing Brain Health as a Public Health Issue

NACDD recognizes the collective strength required to promote brain health and works with distinguished partners to make progress in several key areas, including risk reduction, early detection and diagnosis, and caregiver support.

Healthy Brain Initiative

The Healthy Brain Initiative, created by CDC in 2005, improves understanding of brain health as a central part of public health practice through developing, implementing, and evaluating the HBI Road Map and the Road Map for Indian Country as well as engaging grantees throughout the country to support populations with a high burden of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
