Reducing Environmental and Occupational Cancer Risks Toolkit
Module 4: Evidence-Informed Interventions
INTRODUCTION
Reduce Exposure. Reduce Risk.
Objective: How to consider examples of evidence-based and evidence-informed interventions to advance environmental and occupational cancer risk reduction strategies at the individual, institutional and policy levels.
In Module 2 we learned about data and tools to help prioritize environmental and occupational cancer risks in your state’s strategic cancer prevention and control plans. Module 3 provided resources to ensure that the scientific evidence justifies attention. Statewide cancer risk reduction efforts require actionable and measurable evidence-informed intervention strategies to address priorities for reducing exposure to environmental and occupational carcinogens. This module provides a framework for and examples of goals and strategies to reduce cancer risk at the individual, institutional, and policy levels.
