After 30 years of experience in diabetes prevention and control, Robin Edelman will retire this spring from the Vermont Department of Health. She was a member of the Diabetes Council for 10 years and held leadership positions within the Professional Development Workgroup and the Peg Adams Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program.

“Robin was assigned as my mentor in 2010. I was new to diabetes in the public health setting, and we just had staff turnover. Without her, I would have been just lost my first year. I will always value her warmth and friendship and willingness to be there for me. She was like a compass. Any time I had a question – I’d call her. I felt like she was my guiding star.”
