Ritchie Thomas is the Associate Director of Information Technology (IT) at NACDD.

A self-described “technology nerd,” Ritchie has utilized his expertise and vision in the technology industry, which offers a way to enable businesses and users to utilize technology in a more efficient and effective manner. He is a mission-essential leader in planning and directing aspects of an organization’s technology roadmap to benefit the business strategy, while managing key issue resolution(s) including, prioritization on vendor management, IT projects, and escalations within service delivery.

As a seasoned technology leader, Ritchie brings more than 20 years of experience spanning across the military, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. With a proven track record of driving innovation and spearheading digital transformation initiatives, Ritchie is known for his collaborative approach and solution-focused mindset.

Ritchie’s expertise lies in IT strategy development, technology project management, and building high-performing teams. He holds a Bachelor of Science in IT from Southern Polytechnic State University, complemented by certifications in project management and IT leadership.

Outside of work, Ritchie is passionate about mentoring and coaching transitioning military veterans into the technology field, an exploring the latest technological advancements. Ritchie has been through a combat zone (Afghanistan), jumped out of 29 airplanes, traveled to 15 countries (35 if we count Epcot), and survived three hurricanes. Depending on how well they do, Ritchie may be an Atlanta Falcons fan.
