James “Jimmy” Porter manages the full lifecycle of contracts from origination to closeout. This includes conducting reviews, managing coordination, and regulation adherence. Additionally, he is responsible for monitoring contractual relationships to ensure that vendors are meeting contractual service and performance goals.

Prior to joining NACDD, James was a Senior Manager at City of Atlanta, where he was responsible for mitigating the City’s risk transference programs and procurement contracts. His extensive background includes serving as a claim’s investigator, risk analyst, contract compliance specialist, and risk manager.

Jimmy, a Memphis native, earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Tennessee State University. He is an active member in the Contracts Management Society and the Public Risk Management Association. Jimmy is also an active member in the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.
