Dora McFadden joined the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors in 2023 as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Partnerships and Innovations. In this role she coordinates meetings, manages the VP’s calendar, and takes on special projects for the Center of Partnerships and Innovations. She also supports the administrative needs of ProVention Health Foundation, NACDD’s sister organization.

Dora brings 14 years of administrative experience to this position with proficiency in all areas of administrative support. She spent eight years as an Executive Assistant in Corporate America at Georgia Pacific and PricewaterhouseCoopers. At PwC she also served as a National Practice Coordinator as an adjunct position. She has worked for a medical laser supplies company and a biotech/medical device company, as well as previous employment with two healthcare-oriented nonprofit organizations. She later worked eight years as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) specializing in pediatrics with work experience in early intervention and school systems. 

Dora has been interested in nonprofits and the field of public health for many years. As such, she is excited to support the work and development of the Center for Partnership and Innovation. She is eager to utilize her organizational skills, communication skills, and her detailed nature along with her innate curiosity, resourcefulness, love of research, and desire to learn to do her part in fulfilling NACDD’s mission to prevent and control chronic disease. 

Dora has a Bachelor of Science in biology with a chemistry minor from Georgia State University and a Master of Health Science in Occupational Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia. Dora has varied personal interests including traveling, dancing, outdoor activities, and the arts. She speaks German and enjoys being submersed in other cultures.
