Alice “Ali” Jaglowski is the Vice President of the Center for Advancing Healthy Communities (CAHC) at the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors where she provides strategic oversight and coordination for the management of CDC cooperative agreements and other federal grants, supports partnership engagement and management, and supports funding sustainability and diversification.

With 20+ years of public health experience, she started her career in public health in 2003 in Florida, first locally at the Duval County Health Department (CHD) where she focused on community engagement, and health behavior change program development, implementation, and evaluation. Then at the state level, at the Florida Department of Health, as the state administrator of Florida Department of Health’s Obesity Prevention Program, developing state and local level partnerships around obesity prevention and implementing a statewide plan for addressing obesity prevention.

Ms. Jaglowski joined NACDD in 2008 as a public health consultant and worked on the policy focused healthy community initiative ACHIEVE, providing technical assistance, expertise, and leadership to communities in establishing policy, systems and environmental changes for physical activity, healthy nutrition, and tobacco. During her tenure at NACDD she has provided leadership and training around implementing innovative public health solutions and has supported the advancement of chronic disease prevention through policy advocacy by working to educate policy makers at the state and federal level.

Prior to joining NACDD as a full-time staff member, she supported the National Diabetes Prevention Program (National DPP) under the CDC cooperative agreement 1705 at NACDD, managing a six-year grant focused on scaling and sustaining the National DPP through increasing availability, marketing, referrals, and reimbursement of the National DPP lifestyle change program. Additionally, Ms. Jaglowski collaborates with ProVention Health Foundation on programmatic and policy efforts, including advancing the HALT online platform for health intervention delivery.
