Emily W. Lankau
DVM, PhD
Emily Lankau is an independent public health operations consultant supporting multiple clients with data systems management, data analysis, and technical writing. Emily has more than 10 years of experience working in federal, state, and private public health. Emily’s areas of expertise include data systems optimization and management, data analysis and visualization, process improvement, and communicating complex data to partners with different backgrounds to inform strategic decisions.
Emily completed a dual DVM and PhD in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and then trained in applied public health as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer and Preventive Medicine Fellow with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Emily is licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Wisconsin and serves as a volunteer veterinarian at a low-cost community clinic in Madison. Emily is currently completing graduate training in social work at the University of Tennessee, studying trauma treatment for individuals and organizations.
