ATLANTA (June 7, 2018) – National Association of Chronic Disease Directors CEO John W. Robitscher, MPH and Board President Gabriel Kaplan, PhD (Colorado), announced today new, interim Board of Directors officers who have volunteered to fill recently vacated positions:
· David Hoffman, DPS, Acting President Elect, New York
· Judith Gabriele, MPH, Acting Secretary, New Mexico
The new officers are current Members of the Association’s Board of Directors and volunteered to join current officers Past President Mehul Dalal, MD, MSc, MHS (Connecticut) and Treasurer Mary Manning, MBA, RD (Minnesota) in service to the organization following the voluntary resignation of two Board Members due to career changes.
All of the new Board officers will serve in an interim role until Board elections later this fall.
Nominations for eligible Members to join NACDD’s Board are now open and will continue until July 13.
Interested Members can visit NACDD’s website to learn more about the Board’s role in driving the strategic direction of the Association to support state and territorial leadership in efforts to reduce the burden of chronic disease and improve health.
