A Cross-Sector Dialogue Live from NACDD Public Health Showcase Will Examine the Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) and its Impact on the Root Causes of Chronic Disease
On Wed., Jan. 8, 2020, from 1-2:00 p.m. ET, NACDD’s Public Health Showcase in Atlanta will feature a live webcast with public health luminaries from across industries to discuss “Elevating Public Health to Social Health – Establishing Multisectoral Partnerships to Impact the Root Causes of Chronic Disease.”
Panelists include:
- Former U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services and former Governor of Utah Mike Leavitt;
- Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion Dr. Karen Hacker;
- NACDD Board President, Mónica Morales; and
- The President of Leavitt Partners Solutions, Susan Winckler
The panel discussion will be followed by a brief Q&A.

The fireside chat kicks off NACDD’s 4th Annual Public Health Showcase, an invitation-only poster session featuring NACDD’s project portfolio, held in Atlanta.
Projects range from expanding coverage of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, to creating inclusive opportunities for physical activity for people with disabilities, and to using artificial intelligence to help women with cancer make informed decisions about treatment plans.
