The invitational, 2017 NACDD Chronic Disease Academy scheduled for September 12-14 in St. Louis gives NACDD State Health Department Members and their selected staff an opportunity to participate in focused learning and professional development. The NACDD annual business meeting in the evening on Day 1 precedes a networking reception. Large plenary sessions on Day 1 and Day 2 are followed by half-day courses. Day 2 also offers organized networking opportunities. Day 3 features three Town Hall Meetings with topics focused on 1) value-based payment/performance models; 2) partnering with community development corporations and 3) social justice/health for all. Academy invitees are encouraged to check their email regularly so they won’t miss registration and logistics emails during the next several weeks. Those unable to attend the conference will be able to keep up with activities by following NACDD on Facebook and Twitter.
