Championing Brain Health for Every Community

aging-hero-27

NACDD helps state and local health departments make brain health a core public health priority by reducing dementia risk, supporting early detection, and strengthening caregiver supports. Through our growing Healthy Aging, Healthy Brain Resource Hub, practitioners can quickly find trusted tools and data. Risk reduction rack cards and infographics on the most prominent modifiable risk factors for dementia are tools ready for public health professionals to distribute to community-based organizations and other partners to support their communities.

As more communities experience the growing impact of cognitive decline and dementia, integrating brain health into existing chronic disease programs is needed now more than ever.

Get involved: Explore the Resource Hub, share materials with partners, and take one concrete step this month to embed brain health risk-reduction messaging into existing chronic disease plans/workplans, practices, campaigns and programs.

Please reach out to the NACDD Brain Health Team to chat about how to integrate brain health into your existing work by emailing CAHCinfo@chronicdisease.org.
