September 2024 Impact Brief
I am beyond proud and deeply grateful to share that NACDD has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2024 honor by Atlanta Journal-Constitution Top Workplaces. NACDD was recognized as one of the top 75 small businesses in the Atlanta-area based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage LLC. The confidential surveys measure the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling respected and supported, enabled to grow, and empowered to execute, among other metrics.
Headquartered in Decatur, Georgia, NACDD is home to over 65 full time employees across 13 states. Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for our organization, especially because it comes authentically from the feedback of our employees. This honor is a testament to the commitment and passion NACDD employees bring to work every day and speaks to the collaborative and inclusive culture we have built together—one where every individual’s contributions are valued. At NACDD, we are continuously striving to create a workplace that supports growth, well-being, success, and social connectedness, and this award is a reflection of the purpose-driven environment we foster.
Everything we do at NACDD is based on our mission, which guides every decision, drives our innovation, and unites our team with a common purpose to create meaningful impact in the world. We also share a strong commitment to REDI – Racial, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion – that is felt throughout the organization not only internally but also across our various partnerships. We actively advocate for strategies that promote racial equity and social justice both within public health practice and across organizational structures.
Part of why our employees are engaged and passionate about the work they do is because of you, our Members. Your dedication, resilience, and outstanding leadership in the field of public health as you work to make our communities healthier is an inspiration to us all.
I invite you to join us for NACDD’s Annual Business Meeting on Tuesday, September 17, where we will honor exceptional public health practitioners, health departments, and partners with this year’s Impact Awards.
I also encourage you to view the webinar series from this year’s Board President’s Challenge, which is about supporting and sustaining a thriving chronic disease prevention and health promotion workforce.
