National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations (NACEDA)
State & Regional Associations for Community Development
Community developers are a resource for Chronic Disease Directors/Programs
Community developers are in the zip code improvement business. They improve health in lower-income places by providing access to healthy homes, economic opportunity, fresh food, safe places to play, community engagement, and much more, thereby reducing stress among community members.
“Public health is skilled at measuring health outcomes. The community development sector may benefit from acquiring this expertise to help it discern whether limited funding is being spent in the most effective way. NACEDA and NACDD are working to foster these partnerships by educating our members about each other’s’ work and providing opportunities for connection,” says John Robitscher. MPH, CEO of the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors.
Connect with 40 state and regional community development associations in 25 states and the District of Columbia, representing 4,000 community development nonprofits. These associations improve the capacity of grassroots nonprofits, leverage resources, advocate, and create empowered networks to improve the quality of life in lower-income communities.
