NACDD’s 2025 Member Guide Shines a Light on a Member’s Journey

The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) has published its 2025 Member Guide, “Guiding Lights in Chronic Disease Prevention: Leading with Vision and Compassion.” This year’s Member Guide serves as a beacon to guide and empower NACDD Members through their membership journey. The guide provides information on NACDD’s programs, resources and tools, and opportunities for peer connections to help maximize Members’ engagement and impact. Most importantly, Members can also leverage the 2025 Guide to further their professional impact within their own health organizations and communities.

“Our Members drive progress, innovation, and change in the field of chronic disease prevention in public health,” said NACDD Chief Executive Officer John W. Robitscher, MPH. “We are honored to support and guide our Members in creating healthier, more resilient communities. Overall, NACDD’s commitment remains steadfast in supporting the work of chronic disease professionals in states, tribes, and territories.”

The 2025 Member Guide includes:

  • An introduction to NACDD’s Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team
Descriptions of our programs, professional development resources, toolkits, and more
  • Instructions on how to access the NACDD Member Portal and Engage Community
  • Guidance on how to publicize and share Success Stories via the What’s Working in Chronic Disease Prevention and Control database
A list of our committees, councils, and communities of practices and how to get involved
  • How to contact Member Services for any Member-related questions
“Membership in NACDD is a great way to connect with and learn from others doing similar work in chronic disease prevention. I have always appreciated the resources and opportunities afforded to us by NACDD,” said NACDD Board President Lea Susan Ojamaa, MPH, Massachusetts.

Whether you’re a seasoned public health professional or just starting your journey, NACDD’s Member Guide is your trusted companion, serving as a beacon for the many tools, resources, and support available as you navigate the field of public health.
