In partnership with CDC, NACDD’s Cancer Peer-to-Peer Learning Program enhances cancer program staff’s capacity to strengthen their public health efforts.
The Cancer Peer-to-Peer Learning Program is a recipient-informed learning and engagement opportunity that supports recipients of the National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program and the Colorectal Cancer Control Program to engage with their peers on important topics.
P2P serves over 350 cancer public health professionals working in CDC-funded National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Programs (NBCCEDP) and Colorectal Cancer Control Programs (CRCCP).
Disparities in access to screening can lead to late-stage cancer diagnoses, poorer treatment outcomes, and higher mortality rates, particularly among underserved and marginalized populations.
These resources offer evidence-based information to empower P2P participants and other public health professionals to prioritize advancing health equity and improving cancer screening rates among priority populations.

In October 2021, NACDD hosted a virtual event to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the CDC’s National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. Over two days, more than 1,000 people participated in panel discussions and lectures.
