Each meeting provides Members with pertinent information, project updates, and presentations that will enhance their professional knowledge. Attending these calls is an easy step to becoming more familiar with the Cancer Council and our work. The Cancer Council Mentoring Program connects cancer staff who want to strengthen their professional skills and knowledge with a volunteer mentor. The mentor and mentee can meet virtually to have a single conversation or decide to have an ongoing peer-to-peer relationship. Each peer connection is unique and designed to help you navigate professional challenges.

This workgroup brings together Cancer Council Members who are interested in saving more lives by improving screening rates. Group Members share topics pertinent to health system changes, evidence-based interventions to increase screening uptake, knowledge of available resources, and dissemination of best practices.
This workgroup is a conduit between NACDDâs national partners and Cancer Council Members to ensure important information and tools are disseminated. Group Members are responsible for improving Member awareness of Council activities and maintaining communication channels such as the Cancer Council website and newsletter.
This workgroup supports Cancer Council Membersâ and national partnersâ work by providing a platform to share knowledge and experience related to evaluation and epidemiology. The group strives to provide Members an opportunity to network with their peers and inform participants about upcoming evaluation- and epidemiology-related learning opportunities sponsored by the Cancer Council.
This workgroup is for Policy Coordinators and Program Directors or staff working on policy, systems, and environmental change activities across any cancer program. Group Members discuss state and federal policies affecting cancer screening and control, program policy structures, integration into program work, and evaluation of these efforts.
This workgroup supports work related to survivorship and palliative care. The group provides an avenue to share knowledge, barriers, successes, best practices, and experiences in advancing survivorship care.
The Cancer Council hosts an election for its Executive Committee positions each spring. These positions include Chair, Chair-Elect, Past Chair, Secretary, and Member-at-Large. Any member of the Cancer Council may run for an elected position on the Executive Committee.
Members may also serve on the Steering Committee as a Liaison, Representative, or Workgroup Co-Lead. These positions become available periodically throughout the year and are announced at Council Meetings and via our mailing list.
