Public Health AmeriCorps

PROSPECTIVE SERVICE MEMBER INFORMATION

Public Health AmeriCorps has two primary goals: 

1.

Address public health needs of local communities by providing support in state and local public health settings and advancing health outcomes for all. 

Service Member candidates must be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States and satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check (NSCHC) criteria. We are especially looking for individuals who are passionate about improving the health of communities!

NACDD’s Public Health AmeriCorps program is recruiting Service Members across multiple states to support existing state- and community-level actions to advance more equitable health outcomes for underserved communities. Current service opportunities are listed by state below.

As a part of NACDD’s Public Health AmeriCorps program, Service Members are required to complete 1,200 service hours over the course of one year.

Yes! Service Members receive a living allowance, paid biweekly. Upon successful completion of the service year, Service Members will also receive a Segal Education Award as additional financial assistance.

Create pathways to good quality public health-related careers through onsite experience and training.
