Kim Austin is the Accounting Manager at NACDD. In this role, she helps manage the various accounts payable and receivable functions and ensures all invoices and payment requests are processed in a timely and efficient manner. 

Before joining NACDD, Kim was employed with the Disaster Reconstruction Authority in Freeport, Grand Bahama working to restore the island after hurricane Dorian. While there, she became certified in Disaster Risk Reduction & Resilience, developed and implemented business processes and procedures, and handled the quantitative analytical needs of the office.

Previously, she has been an Accounts Officer, Accounts Payable Manager, and Finance Manager within the industrial industry. She has experience in payables, receivables, journal entries and month end/year end close. Kim’s areas of expertise include internal control development, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.

Kim received her Master of Science in Accounting from Kaplan University and her Bachelor of Science in Management & Accounting from Nova Southern University.

She has a passionate interest in helping others, sustainable development, renewable energy, and disaster recovery. She has volunteered with civic and nonprofit organization throughout the Bahamas, Florida, and Georgia. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and traveling.
