Cardiovascular Health

Susan H. Svencer is a consultant with the Cardiovascular Health team for NACDD. In this capacity, she supports several initiatives, including the Community e-Connect Project, Million Hearts® Hospitals and Health Systems Recognition Program, and the Million Hearts® Cardiac Rehabilitation Think Tank, as well as the coordination and dissemination of information to State Health Departments to aid their heart disease and stroke prevention efforts.

Prior to NACDD, Susan supported the implementation of the Prevention and Wellness Trust Fund Grant for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH), specifically working to expand the development and use of bi-directional electronic referral relationships between community health centers and local community-based organizations. Susan also served as the Sodium Reduction Specialist with MDPH’s Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention and Control Program, leading efforts to reduce the sodium intake of the state’s population.

Additionally, Susan has nearly 20 years of experience in healthcare market research. She is a skilled qualitative moderator, having conducted countless in-depth interviews and focus groups with a variety of healthcare professionals, patients, and payors.

Susan received her MPH from Boston University School of Public Health and a BA from Tufts University. Susan resides north of Boston with her husband and two kids.
