Dr. Shamarial Roberson is the Interim Division Director of Community Health Promotion at the Florida Department of Health. She provides direction and supervision for the division by overseeing operational functions for WIC, Child Care Food Program, Public Health Research, Family Health Services, Tobacco and Chronic Disease prevention programs, epidemiology and evaluation, budget and grant functions, procurement, and administrative support. She joined the Department of Health in 2013 as a Chronic Disease Epidemiologist and Evaluator, where she served for two years as the Bureau Epidemiologist. She completed her Doctorate of Public Health at Florida A&M and her graduate and undergraduate education at Florida State University. Dr. Roberson is committed to advancing health equity through innovative, evidence-based public health interventions.
