Kayla Craddock, MPH

Cardiovascular Health

Kayla Craddock has more than a decade of experience working as an engaged and driven leader in public health and local community, desiring to bring about change in the way individuals and organizations interact with and experience health and community. As a consultant with the Cardiovascular Health (CVH) team for the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD), Kayla supports the evidence and utilization of community health workers, EHR-based surveillance reporting (MENDS), and CVH technical assistance.

Prior to joining NACDD, Kayla supported heart disease and diabetes programs at the Virginia Department of Health. In this position Kayla developed and enhanced statewide partnerships to improve clinical reporting, disease management and patient education. This work was heavily influenced by her work as a Community Health Educator at the Martinsville Henry County Coalition for Health and Wellness and Bassett Family Practice in southern Virginia.

Kayla received her MPH from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Biology from Averett University. Kayla currently resides in Richmond, Va., but routinely travels to visit family and friends across the United States and in Vietnam. When not traveling, Kayla can be found wearing her pearl earrings while hosting, doing puzzles, or reading.
