Cardiovascular Health

Kayla Craddock has more than a decade of experience working as an engaged and driven leader in public health at the national, state, and local levels. She desires to bring about change in the way individuals and organizations interact with and experience health and community. Kayla also supports initiatives that expand community health worker (CHW) financing, policies, and evaluation efforts.

Prior to joining NACDD, Kayla supported heart disease and diabetes programs at the Virginia Department of Health. In this position Kayla developed and enhanced statewide partnerships to improve clinical reporting, disease management, and patient education. This work was heavily influenced by her work as a Community Health Educator at the Martinsville Henry County Coalition for Health and Wellness and Bassett Family Practice in southern Virginia.

Kayla received her MPH from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Biology from Averett University. Kayla currently resides in Richmond, Va., but enjoys traveling to visit family and friends. When not traveling, Kayla can be found wearing her pearl earrings while playing with her cat Whiskey.
