With another year of groundbreaking work behind us, I am exceptionally pleased to share with you the 2016 Annual Report for the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD).

Whether you are one of our more than 6,500 Members, one of our 43 subject matter expert consultants, a donor, or a volunteer, your contributions to preventing and controlling some of the leading causes of illness and mortality in the U.S. are reflected in this report’s pages.

Our continued, strong relationships with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with private partners like Sanofi, and with consumer groups like the American Heart Association, position us well to be at the forefront of advocacy in this changing political environment.

From discussions about how to fight cancer in older adults to enhancing our epidemiology mentorship program, NACDD has provided support to more than 100 programs, increasing the capacity for state and territorial health departments across the country to improve chronic disease awareness and health promotion activities.

Financially, thanks to your steadfast support, our organization is a lean and conservative steward of our revenue. Where some associations have as many as three staffers per member, we function highly efficiently with 17 Headquarters staff providing services as diverse as government relations, professional development, core program development and evaluation, financial agency, communications, and meeting planning services.

We look forward to another year of wise investment in the areas where we can be most impactful for you and for the communities you serve.

In Good Health,

John W. Robitscher, MPH
CEO
National Association of Chronic Disease Directors
