Trish Herrmann has more than 20 years of experience working at the state and national level in nutrition and public health with a focus on chronic disease prevention and control. She serves as the Senior Public Health Consultant on the Diabetes team for the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors. In this role, she works with state and national partners to develop and implement strategic, state-specific action plans, to mobilize collective action of partners and State Health Departments and to increase enrollment in the National Diabetes Prevention Program lifestyle change program.

Trish provides support to State Health Departments on their diabetes prevention and management efforts through webinars, communities of practice, and leadership development. In her former position, she was the Diabetes Program Manager for the Arizona Department of Health Services, where she worked with partners to develop and implement strategic and advocacy plans for diabetes that focused on increasing access to diabetes self-management education.

Trish has a BS in Nutrition from Virginia Tech and an MS in Nutrition from Pennsylvania State University. She lives in Baton Rouge, La., with her two children and husband.
